Performance Based Code


NEII is pleased to announce the launch of Performance Based Code (PBC) for Elevators web site - the one-stop web portal for information about the new Performance Based Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators, ASME A17.7/CSA B44.7

The new website was developed to help government decision makers, businesses, the media and the public learn how the PBC can complement the processes used by elevator regulators across the U.S.

The site will be updated continuously as jurisdictions adopt the PBC and as new FAQ's and other materials are added.
